74. One More Sleep: Morgan Patten

24-year-old Morgan Patten had her future planned; she couldn’t wait to marry her fiance, Phil, and continue her education at Roger Williams Law School.

On November 8th, 2019, Morgan traveled from Martha’s Vineyard, MA to Camp Lejeune in NC to spend the weekend with Phil.

She arrived at her hotel that evening and walked to the nearby Applebees to grab a bite. Morgan texted her parents and her fiance that night, from her seat near the bar.

When Morgan’s dad received a knock at the door early the next morning, he learned the devastating news; his daughter, his only child - had been killed in a crash the night before.

For the past 4 years, Morgan’s parents and her fiance have received few answers as to what happened that night. Why did two marines, Hunter Wells & Charles Cornwall have Morgan in their pickup truck? What events led to that truck striking a tree on White Oak River Road in Maysville, NC and flipping over several times?

Join Dawn as she sits down with parents Steve & Renee Patten and fiance Phil Brandon.
