With over 100 episodes recorded and dozens of interviews with investigators, victims' loved ones, and experts - Dawn approaches each case with care, rigor, and a deep respect for the people left behind—spotlighting not only unresolved homicides, but the systemic failures that allow injustice to persist, even when a case is considered “solved.”

Dawn Cate
Creator/Host/Advocate
Dawn’s commitment to advocacy began in childhood, after two of her relatives were victims of violent crime; experiences that shaped her resolve to understand the justice system and the ways it can fail those it’s meant to protect.
She earned a degree in Criminal Justice and interned with both a prison and a police department. Years later, that foundation evolved into immersive, responsible storytelling that centers victims, supports families, and confronts injustice directly.
Dawn has received formal training as a victim advocate through the National Advocate Credentialing Program and the Office for Victims of Crime, and as a volunteer crisis counselor with Crisis Text Line. This training grounds her work in ethics, trauma-informed practice, and deep respect for those whose lives have been forever changed.
